AllTalk plz

If and when we get the server I would like it to be alltalk. There aren't many severs like that and I think it would be fun. Or it could just be some thing the admins turn on and off but I all ways liked alltalk.

All Talk is when you can also hear what the other team says on the mic. I think sometimes this kills the server because no team can talk strategy and forced to type everything.

I have seen different formats for alltalk. One being that alltalk is turned on after the round end to allow players to talk for a short time. Of course, there are servers where alltalk is on all the time. I suppose it depends on your preference. PinkFloyd has a good point. If your looking to strategize it makes it a bit difficult. However, I do agree that alltalk is fun when you can communicate with anyone on the server. On the last server I had I would leave alltalk off by default but allow a vote function to turn it on. If the majority wanted it on, it was on. Perhaps this could be a solution to keep both ends happy. Also, this might be a good question for the polls to see what others think.

I have seen that as well Nesta. Each time a round was over everyone could talk to each other about the round. I think my main problem with all talk would be that when its on most the time the game wont be talked about and mostly it will turn into a chat room. Sometimes it does the complete opposite and makes the sever dead silent. I do like the vote option though.

I agree, it does turn into a chat room. Probably because you can't strategize with alltalk on. I'm kind of torn because I do enjoy alltalk. I think the vote option may be a viable solution.

No, alltalk is a server command not a game command. V is for voice chat (with your own team), Y is for all chat, and U is for team chat. Alltalk means that all players on both teams can hear each others voice chat.

that would be cool if we could do what naro said but I doubt that it could be done inles someone is a computer wiz and could hack into the game and fiddle with it. O well.

I'll look into it but I think because its a server command the best you can do is have a user vote to turn on alltalk.
